What the Trax Does Not Do
Worth knowing before you drive over, because these are the three things that surprise people.
No All-Wheel Drive
The Trax is front-wheel drive only, with no AWD option on any trim. If all-wheel drive is a requirement, the Trailblazer or Equinox is the answer instead.
No Tow Rating
Chevrolet publishes no towing capacity for the Trax. It is not built for a trailer, and you should not treat the absence of a figure as an invitation to guess one.
Not an Off-Road Vehicle
The 7.3 inches of ground clearance handles curbs, driveways and an unplowed lot. Chevrolet does not publish approach or departure angles, because it is an urban SUV rather than a trail vehicle.
