There is no franchised new-car dealership inside Chicago’s West Side. Plenty of used lots along Cicero Avenue, but if you want a new Chevrolet with a factory warranty and a certified service department, you are leaving the neighbourhood. Currie Motors Chevrolet is the closest place to go: 8401 W. Roosevelt Rd, directly across the city line, on a road that runs through the West Side.
Austin, Garfield Park, North Lawndale, Humboldt Park. Hundreds of thousands of people, and between them not one franchised new-car store. What the West Side has is a run of independent used lots along Cicero Avenue, and a lot of residents who assume buying new means a trip to the suburbs or downtown.
We are three point eight miles from Austin. Austin is the largest community area in Chicago by population, it borders Oak Park and Forest Park directly, and we are the closest Chevrolet dealership to it. Roosevelt Road runs from the West Side straight to our door, and there is no expressway or tollway in between.
That does not make us the closest dealer to every West Side neighbourhood, and we would rather be straight about that than oversell it. For Humboldt Park and Belmont Cragin there are Chevrolet stores to the north that are closer on the map. What we offer instead is a full new lineup, a GM-certified service department, financing across every credit tier including ITIN, and staff who work in Spanish. GM Financial and a panel of outside lenders, not in-house paper at whatever rate the lot decides. That matters most if your credit is being rebuilt.
If new is not the answer, CPO Chevrolets come inspected and warranty-backed. A different thing from as-is.
